This August 2012, Laurel and I will celebrate our fourteen year anniversary!
We have two boys, Kaden 9 and August 6.
A verse that sums up the desires of our heart as a couple is Micah 6:8.
Living by this verse is a challenge and a joy. It’s a standard to live by and a goal to strive towards.
At the end of each day, week, month and year we look back and see how well we did
and how we can improve tomorrow.
It keeps us growing in all areas of our life.

Aquarium
I finally got my aquarium up and running. The plants are pretty sickly as they had been neglected for several months during the transition from one tank to the other. I will take another picture in a month to see the difference in plant growth.

Kids!
I was helping August color today. We had left over Santa Claus coloring pages and I was busy sharpening the colored pencils without breaking the lead in the sharpener. ...next to impossible.
Anyway, in the back of my mind I was listening to him talk about his coloring but wasn't registering what he was saying. Then I paused to really listen to him. He was saying he was coloring Santa Claus' boogies. I then looked down and saw him coloring his mustache!

Race day is approaching!
We are two weeks away from PF Chang's Marathon! So far we have been training for about 16 weeks. As busy as Laurel and I are and taking care of the boys, we haven't been able to make every practice but we both feel confident that we can finish our races well. We can't wait to share with everyone how we did!

Here is a picture with about half of our team in Maricopa. The picture was taken after my first very long run (15 miles) a couple of months ago. I quickly learned that I needed to hydrate during my running much more than I did. Last week I ran 20 miles and Laurel did 10. We both did very well and we feel the next six miles (for me) and three (for her) are definately within our grasp.
