This August 2012, Laurel and I will celebrate our fourteen year anniversary!
We have two boys, Kaden 9 and August 6.
A verse that sums up the desires of our heart as a couple is Micah 6:8.
Living by this verse is a challenge and a joy. It’s a standard to live by and a goal to strive towards.
At the end of each day, week, month and year we look back and see how well we did
and how we can improve tomorrow.
It keeps us growing in all areas of our life.

Down on the Farm
We visited a small farm this weekend. The boys had a good time. It unfortunately is still hot (97 degrees today) so we weren't completely in "fall" mode.
At the farm we found the pumpkins that we will carve. This year I will only do one for each of the boys as they require so much work.
In this picture the boys are decorating two small pumpkins.

Christian,
This is great! You will have to tell me how you put the music to the blog. I like it. Thanks for all your encouraging words (your email). Good to get some other perspectives on the grieving process. Oh, you will also have relatives coming for the PF Chang Marathon in January. Leah, Nathan & Michelle and me are coming down on the 15th of January. We will be staying with Susan's parents/brother. But we will for sure hook up with each other, especially for the marathon. We look forward to it. God Bless your family. You will find that the blog becomes a nice family activity archive you can look back on and even scrapbook in a binder. Some ladies of our church did that with Susan's blog. So we look back on it while we sit on the couch. Love you guys, Uncle Doug.
