Backyard flowers

Although these plants have just been planted, many of them are flowering. We can't wait until they mature!!

This first one is our favorite. It is called a Yellow Bird of Paradise. There are many Birds of paradise, but this one quite rare. Although they do very well in this climate, many nurseries do not carry them nor are they very familiar with them. So, after searching the entire valley, we were able to locate a three plants and bought them.

This one is a vine next to the grape arbor. The vine produces tons of flowers that have the most amazing orange color. The kids all say the flower looks fake because of their brilliance!

Here is a great picture of the grape plants!

This is a Bottle Brush Plant and has a unique flower. We actually have one tree variety of this and when it matures looks great!!

This is lantana. We have this on a hill and it will eventually grow into ground cover and fall over a retaining wall.

This is Orange Jubilee. They produce a cluster of orange flowers. This too, will look great when it matures.
